Congratulations to Vikki McAuley who has been offered a place at the BRIT Academy in September

Harriet Sanderson has been offered a place at Arts Educational in September and will be dancing or Sport Relief on TV's Lets Dance 13th March

Congratulations to Vicky Foster who has a child's part in the Royal Ballet's prodction of Cinderella at the Royal Opera House 

Congratulations to Georgina Jackson  who successfully auditioned for Alice in Wonderland at the Mayflower (Southampton) and the Anvil in Basingstoke over Easter.

Congratulations to Stephanie Hughes for passing her Inter Foundation RAD Ballet  

Congratulations to all the Ballet students taking exams in Nov 2009 - 1 Distinction 25 Merits (7 70+) and 1 Pass - Average mark 67 

Congratulations to all Modern and Tap exam students Nov 2009 - 24 A Grades 38 B Grades (17 75+) 1 C Grade - Average mark 77.  Well done to Victoria Davis who got 88 the highest mark of the session for her Grade 3 Tap.  Ballet results should be availale next week.

March 2009 Modern/Tap Results: 25 As 42 Bs 3 Cs (Average Mark 74) Highest Mark of 91 to Grace Clarke (G2 Modern)and Ruby Turner (G3 Modern) - ruby has also earnt herself a Modern scholarship this term as she had two 10s.

  • Charlotte Hannay came 1st in the Novice Tap
  • Stephanie Jackson came 2nd in the Novice Tap

Tanya, having squeezed in sitting the last two modules in October, has now finally passed her Certificate in Dance Education with the ISTD for Modern & Tap. 

Claire Simpson (or McKenna as some of you may know her) is now a Registered Teacher with the RAD having completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (mentored by Tanya Schipelbaum).   

We are pleased to announce that Paula Conduit of Vortex Dance Theatre will be taking the Contemporary class in 2009.  She will also be starting a professional level Ballet Class and additional Advanced Ballet and Advanced Contemporary Classes.  These will be great for those people that want to take class beyond Advanced RAD and great to bolster our Performing Arts Course and Teacher Training students levels of technique.

October 2008 Ballet Results : 5 Distinctions, 5 Merits (70+), 18 Other Merits, 3 Passes (Average Mark 65) 

Thank you to our new BAD Company (Performing Arts students) who took part in the Twinning Celebrations in the Malls on Saturday - they were very brave to face the weather dancing outside while our friends from Alencon, France sang and Braine L'Alleud, Belgium played wind instruments.  They performed choreography by Sean McLeod (NYIDE), Paula Conduit (Vortex Dance Comapny) and Tanya Schipelbaum (Principal).  They gained some new friend during the 4 days of rehearsals and social activities and we have been invited to Braine L'Alleud next September for their Dance Week. Vocational HQ Modern examination result was an A grade 

Congratulations  to the Junior Performance Group who performed beautifully at the British Red Cross's Dance for Life gaining Best Costume Award and Runners Up in Choreography Award.

Well Done to all the students who successfully auditioned for Aladdin, this year's pantomime at the Anvil: Anya Logbottom, Harriet Sanderson, Charlotte Hearth, Beccy Stanborough, Georgina Jackson, Bella Davis, Jessica Pearce Stone, Ruby Turner and Imogen Province.

Both Warwick Gross and Toby Blackburn have gained places in Fiddler on the Roof in July - Congratulations
