B.A.D. are off to Germany for the Dance World Cup !

Really pleased to announce that our Persian Group has qualified to the Dance World Cup Finals in Offenburg, Germany. We are all extremely excited to have this truly fantastic opportunity and are now working hard to work out the logistics (and funding!) to make this happen. Well Done Ladies ! We will be going in June with our troupe aged 10-13 to compete for Team England.
Woking Festival Success

Well done to all the participants at Woking Festival a few medals, some more qualifiers to All England Regionals and the Greek Award for Hetty 🙂
Also very pleased with all the Personal Best marks achieved !
Squads out in Force for Saxon Wood

Last Sunday our performance Squads danced at the Apollo Hotel, helping raise money for Saxon Wood School. They were opening entertainment for the pantomime that was so popular they ended up having two performances.
We now have Baby Squad, Junior Squad and the original Squad – new members always welcome.
Our next performance will be at the Anvil for the Mayors concert 4th March.
ISTD Modern & Tap Results in from December

Pleased to announce we had another set of great results in for our Modern and Tap examinations.
13 Distinctions, 27 Merits and 9 Passes
Bursary Awards go to Darcy Grade 5 Modern (91) and Grace Grade 4 Modern (90) and to Izzy Grade 4 Tap (83) and Dom Grade 5 Tap (76)

Lydia’s nabbed dancing in Gansta Granny

Very pleased to announce that Lydia has successfully auditioned to perform in Birmingham Stage Company’s production of Gansta Granny at the Anvil 23rd Feb to 26th Feb 2017. She will be playing the part of Diane and will have her own dance solo.

Lois (age 15) has successfully auditioned to be in a local production of Legally Blonde as Supporting Cast Dancer. Performances are 5-9 July at The Harlington in Fleet.

Auditions for local Legally Blonde Production (Over 14s)

Starburst Theatre are holding auditions for our summer musical – Legally Blonde! Please see flyer attached
Auditions will take place on Sunday 29th January at The Harlington in Fleet. You must be over 14 to audition but there is no upper age limit!
If you would like to audition for any of the following lead characters you will need to arrive at 10am for sign in and introduction:
– Elle Woods
– Margot
– Serena
– Pilar
– Emmet
– Paulette
– Professor Callahan
– Warner
– Vivienne
– Brooke
– Enid
There will be sign up sheets available to put your name down for any of these characters, and depending on your choice you will then be taught a song and dance, in groups. You may then be asked to stay and read for parts, or to dance the more advanced routine in the afternoon – this decision will be made by the direction team on the day.
If you wish to only audition for a supporting cast role, you will need to arrive at 12:45 for sign up and introduction. You will then be taught a song and dance in groups and again, you may be asked to stay on to audition for extra dance or speaking roles.

Once I have received your registration I will add this to the database and send you a confirmation email with your audition number.
Please be aware that you MUST be over 14 4th July 2017 to audition for Legally Blonde. by We ask that everyone wears suitable clothing and footwear that you are comfortable in for dance and movement. You will need to bring food and drink to keep you going for the day, as there may not be much chance for a break during the day.
